10.17.08 J.D.Drew is my hero

If you didn't watch the Red Sox last night ... I don't blame you ... but you really missed out on a FANTASTIC game. In the 6th inning I was done watching. I couldn't bare it anymore. Watching the Red Sox losing 7-0 was like watching your little child SUCK really bad at a recital. You're kind of embarrassed, but you love them anyway. It's like a car wreck. You can't help but keep watching. I changed locations during the 6th inning and it proved to bring us some good luck. Yes, i've recently become semi-supersticious. I can't believe they pulled it off. I still can't get over the excitement I felt when BIG PAPI hit a 2 run homer ... ahh ... my love for those boys is so strong. I'm so proud of them. Especially for not letting us all down. Needless to say, I am PUMPED for tomorrow night's game. I wish it was on tonight, but then again, when a game is on, I can't concentrate on ANYTHING other than the game and I plan on having a fun night tonight. Keep your fingers crossed for my Red Sox. They make me happy and I hope I get to personally thank J.D. Drew someday for SAVING OUR BUTTS!
In other news, I have the weekend off! I'm hoping my friend who lives in Philly comes to visit. He's a friend from Long Island who moved to Philly for a really cool TOP SECRET kind of government job. We've lived this close for an entire year and only met up ONCE! Pathetic, I know. It's both of our faults and we use the same old excuse all the time .. we're just too busy. What does that mean anyway? Too busy doing what? Hanging out with the people you see all the time? Exactly. Dan ... come visit me!!!
If the sox win on Saturday, this girl is going to be very happy. If they don't win, this girl may not come to work on Monday.
Have a great weekend! Do something seasonal! Carve a pumpkin! I think i'm going to call on the ladies for a pumpkin carving party ... of course there will be wine involved ... so our pumpkins may not come out great ... but it'll be fun!
