What a weekend! One of the best in a long time ... Summer 2008 is treating me very well! I've been declaring pretty much every night of the week Ladies Night and Friday was no exception. A bunch of us got together at Arena and drank pitchers of margaritas over chick chat... Mmm! Then we went over to a little bar in Moosic called The Penalty Box ... seriously the best time ever. Between dancing with charming 85 year old men and singing 'Talk Dirty to Me' with the band ... it was quite a memorable night ... and so was the next morning when I had to wake up at 5am to get to work. Ahhh, you only live once, right?
Have you heard that new song from Boys Like Girls called "Thunder?" I loveee it because it has cutesy lyrics... even though I currently have no one to apply the cutesy to in my own life, i'm still ALL about this song. A bunch of times it goes ... " Your voice is the soundtrack of my summer..." I LOVE THAT. Summer Love is so much fun ... but Single Summers are even better! You know what other song i'm loving right now? THE NEW SEETHER! It's called "Rise Above This" and I swear i'm obsessed! I bought the cd (yes, I work in radio and still buy cd's) and I haven't taken it out of my cd player since.
Oohhh yeah, I went to see THE DARK KNIGHT on Sunday night! I didn't really know what to expect considering it was a BATMAN movie, but in all honesty, it was probably one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Not only was Heath Ledger CREEPY in it, but the effects, the plot, the action ... ALL AWESOME. I'm not gonna lie, I jumped out of my seat a handful of times and caught myself not breathing at time ... but I DEF give it 2 thumbs up!
It's just another MANIC MONDAY! Make it a good one ... I think Mondays are best celebrated with Martinis. Rock on.
