7.28.08 What a WEEKEND!

I'm beat.
I can't wait to let my head fall onto my pillow tonight... i'm really looking forward to that. Counting down the hours actually ... a little over 4 to go. It was an eventful weekend to say the least. Friday I went out with an entirely NEW group of people and had a blast. A friend of mine, Lori, has a really nice group of friends and their frequent The Tiki bar. It's on top of a mountain towards Scranton, but you have to be a "member" to go. Oh, how fancy! :) I'm not a member, but she is .. so I was her guest on Friday. We got their just as the sun was setting and it was SOOO pretty to be on top of a mountain at sunset. Gorgeous! We drank fabulous mojitos and stayed til close.
The whole staying out late thing probably wasn't the best idea since I had to work at 6am on Saturday, but i'm trying to live the whole "live each day like it's your last and sleep when you're dead" mantra... so I dealt with it. Saturday was also MAROON 5/Counting Crows at Montage. WHAT A SHOW! We got to sit in on Maroon 5's sound check which was awesome ... Adam Levine is so hot and he was wearing a cute little wife beater. Mmmm... I digress. The guys were very cool and show was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Counting Crows were WAY better than I remember. I saw them with Goo Goo Dolls like 2 years ago and was bored to tears. They were sick this weekend, I'm their new biggest fan. Sunday was WARPED TOUR! We got real personal with Katy Perry on the KRZ VIP party deck and taped the whole interview. She didn't look anything like the pics I usually see of her online, but she was still totally cute and really opened up when we were chatting!
All of a sudden, it was Monday morning and the weekend completely escaped me! Thus, I can not WAIT to go to sleep tonight. I may even sleep in my clothes.
Tomorrow is BABY NASCAR live in studio and that's going to be lots of fun. Tiny little infants in a crawling competition? Ha! I can't wait! I'm realllllllllllllly excited for Wednesday however. I'll be away Wednesday-Saturday at a radio convention. It's my favorite time of year. It's when the true DORK in me comes out. I get really star struck around my favorite radio personalities ... i'll be sure to blog from the convention. It's in Denver and I've never been there before! I'll take lots of pics! Jeff's on his own, but i'm sure he'll miss me! |
