I felt obligated to watch the Olympics last night. It's constant coverage makes it so convenient to be a little patriotic and watch an hour or so. Although I began watching it out of a patriotic obligation, I fell in love with these people and they made me so proud. You've GOT to check out the women's synchronized diving. AMAZING.  I can only imagine how hard these people work to perfect this sport. Speaking of how hard they work, do these athletes have day jobs? I've always wondered that about Olympians. Is that their 9-5? How do they pay bills? Do they have a "normal" job too? Hmm... in my mind they are in a pool 24-7 getting really good at their event.

  Oh my, and cute little Michael Phelps! His mom is adorable. She is so freakin proud of her son. It was so funny hearing her talk about how he got teased as a kid about his big ears. Well LOOK at him now! Winning GOLD MEDALS left and right. I wish I could get MORE into the whole Olympics thing, but I like the Winter ones better! I feel semi-patriotic for watching last night. Maybe tomorrow I'll wear red, white and blue? Nah, that's pushing it.
