On Email Wednesday of this week, we got an email from a woman who wasn't seeing eye to eye with her husband on baby names. Their last name is Peters, her husband wanted to name the child after his grandfather who was named Peter. We got talking about people with weird names and funny initials and stuff and I got myself into a little trouble doing so. So here's the deal. Our boss and his wife were due to have another baby yesterday. On Wednesday, I realized the name they had planned to give to their little girl the next day made her initials come out to be MOO. He and his wife hadn't even REALIZED it before I pointed it out. So here I am, ruining their "perfect" chosen name by pointing out it's weird initials. You and I BOTH know that a kid would get TORMENTED with those initials in school! Well, I told this story on the air and our boss was LISTENING! Ahhhhh! I felt terrible, so I suggested he propose the idea to spell her middle name, which was going to be Olivia, with an A instead. ALIVIA. I think that's pretty! It didn't matter at that point, I dug myself in REAL deep... but I was helping... right? Being proactive!
Here's where I feel like the butt. This morning our boss emailed us all with pictures from the delivery room, the time of delivery, pounds and ounces, and her name. THEY COMPLETELY CHANGED HER MIDDLE NAME! I RUINED IT! Not only did they change her name COMPLETELY, but it was obviously last minute because I pointed out the MOO thing on WEDNESDAY! I feel like such an ass! Part ofme feels like I helped and another part of my ruined the name they worked so hard on picking out! She's Madison Victoria now and I think that's just lovely.
... on a lighter note ... IT'S A BIG GAME DAY! Pats vs. Eagles preseason! I'm still in baseball mode, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE football season! Bring-it-onnnn!
