I'm not going to lie, I was just waiting for lovely sounds of that song "Proud to be an American," to start playing last night after Obama finished his speech. Man ... he made me really proud to live in this country. He makes me really excited for our future, but I just hope he delivers. Is he all talk? I hope not. McCain just annouced his pick for VP and it's no surprise he picked someone who would lure Hillary supporters. A woman. Smooth move McCain. Now, no matter who wins the election ... history is being made. We'll either have our first African American President, or our first Female Vice President. That's pretty awesome, but I hate that we even acknowledge that at all. The ad that McCain ran after Obama's acceptance speech was pretty classy. I liked that he gave the man props, but it's that NEXT DAY now and this is when it all begins. Happy Freakin Friday by the way! Not only is it Friday, but it's pay day and the start to a 3 day weekend! Wooo hoo! This is the first weekend I've had completely off in a very long time and I'm sooo excited! Tonight I'm having a GIRLY DATE ... we're going to see "I love you, you're perfect, now change." Ha, should be a good one. It's at some theater in Nuangola. I let you know how that goes. Then i'm going home to make JELLO SHOTS for CRUE FEST TAILGATING GOODNESS! :) Mmm ... find me in the lot if you want some!
I'm contemplating the rest of the weekend. Some friends are down at the shore and some of my other friends are spending Labor Day in the Hamptons ... choices, choices, choices. I'm leaning towards the Hamptons ... there's a club there that opens at NOON on Sunday and it's a FABULOUS time! I'm sure there will be plenty of fun filled stories to share on Tuesday!
... Jeff's not here today, it's lonely in our office without him (but I secretly LOVE IT) I get to BLAST the music however LOUD I want! I'm rocking out to Saving Abel :) |
