8.5.08 I LOVE Garbage Day

Tuesday is garbage at La Casa de Amanda. I'm super corny and I look at garbage day as a rebirth. I toss out so much STUFF every week on Tuesday ... it's kind of exciting. I'm a weird kind of pack rat. I keep magazines forever! I also keep old mail, the kind of stupid mail the cell phone companies send you about their new phones ... even though you JUST got a new phone and you're not up for an upgrade for another year or so ... yeah ... I keep those mailers for some reason. Today, i'll rid myself of all of them. That's my mission tonight.
One of my New Year's resolutions was to keep my apartment cleaner ... so far ... i've failed. It's actually gotten to the point where I don't even FOLD MY LAUNDRY anymore. Today, on garbage day, i'm going to turn all of that around. I've GOT to find one of those drop-off sites for old clothes too ... I think keeping things cleaner would be easier without clothes I never wear anymore.
It's so silly how excited I get about garbage day, but may I invite you to be equally as excited about it? Toss out your exboyfriends junk, the boxers you found behind the dryer, maybe even his deodorant you found under the sink, and even pictures you probably shouldn't be looking at everytime you flip through a photo album? I'm seriously REALLY excited about going home tonight and giving my apartment a BATH, cleaning it out, and doing some SUMMER CLEANING ... because afterall ... it's GARBAGE DAY ... and those kind men will take it ALL AWAY. :)
