I have so many things going through my head today. For starters, have you heard the new Hinder song??? "Without You" Loves it!  I'm ALMOST ready to put it on my myspace, but I need to really think long and hard about that before I make any moves. I take what my myspace song pretty seriously. Ha! :)

So... Last night I went to my friend Alicia's house and we rented the Sex & the City Movie. I've seen it 4 times now and I could watch it 20 more. I LAUGH OUT LOUD the whole time. I love those ladies. We also played this new AWESOME game they featured in the movie BABY MAMA. It's American Idol Karaoke Revolution - umm it's the best. You sing into a mic that goes into a PS2 and it's like guitar hero ... you see what you're singing and if you're on or not ... you get judged, the judges give you a specific score, you get golden tickets to go to the next round. I'm not gonna lie, I was SCREAMING singing in her living room. I sang like 20 songs. I felt like I was 9 again.

Hmm what else is going on. Ohhh... this is exciting. My best friend from college, Kate, quit her job at a publishing company to pursue her singing career. We went to a college that focused in music, media, and performing arts. She was always singing, recording, and performing through out college and has always written all of her own music. God that girl has a way with words. The lyrics in her song are always so ... different. She really tells a story in her songs. Her voice is so ... electric. Anyway, since college, she's been performing at Jazz cafes in NYC, recording new music, and auditioning for various reality tv singing shows. Nothing really "took off" for her, so she kept up with the whole 9-5 thing at the publishing company. It really had her down for a while because her entire life, her passion has been music. She has the talent, just needed a direction to go with it. Well ... just yesterday she sent me a NOVEL on an email explaining her latest venture. SHE'S GOING TO LIVE IN INDIA FOR 3 MONTHS AND PERFORM IN A TOP 40/HIP HOP COVER BAND with other performers from the NY area! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! It pays pretty well, but the experience is PRICELESS! Who knows what could come from that, i'm just soo happy for her and the chance she has to LIVE HER PASSION, even if it is only for 3 months (as of now.) I'm assuming the club her group is going to be performing at every night is a tourist spot of some sort, but either way, she'll be living her dream and i'm so proud of her for taking a big risk like that and exploring different opportunities that weren't neccessarily part of her original plan. Positive thinking goes a long way ... and so does having an open mind when it come to what it actually means to make your dreams come true. It's all relative.

Those are my thoughts for today. I need to go get some lip balm. These chilly nights have my lips feeling a little dry. I LOVE the chilly nights, I could do without the dry lips! ROCK ON FALL! Can't wait for the crunchy leaves to come! Mmm!
