It's always bugged me that you can't wash your hands when you use a port-a-john. (Is that even how you spell it? It's not even a real word!) Anyway, I was BESIDE myself last night when I went to the fair and saw THESE...
PORT-A-SINKS!!! Whoooooooooooooooooa! How freakin exciting is that? If you're used to seeing these, excuse my excitement, but YESSSSSS! I whipped out my camera so fast, I couldn't believe it. I really wanted to take one home with me! The whole fair experience was a little crazy, but these sinks MADE MY NIGHT.
Now I don't want to seem like a chump, but fair rides freak me a little. I mean, they SQUEAK for heavens sake. I'm ALL ABOUT going on ANY ride at Six Flags, but these rides travel, make noise, and don't look or sound super safe. I didn't want to look like a baby, so I agreed to go on a ride that looked pretty innocent. I think not. I think it was called the Wipeout or something. I assumed it was just going to spin. Nope. It spins ... and then goes up ... and then flips over ... and spins you upside down. I swear, the guys behind me were screamin. 24 year old dudes, almost crying. I HONESTLY THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO FALL OUT OF THE FREAKIN THING. I also had my bag next to me, is that allowed? I was not only holding on for dear life, I was also hanging on to my HAT, AND my purse! Ahh, I obviously survived, but that was the end of rides for me that night.
You know what's totally awesome though? I GOT TO SMASH A CAR WINDOW WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER! God I love NEPA. I paid $5, put on a pair of goggles, grabbed a sledgehammer, and WACKED AWAY. I'm SO NOT a violent person at all, but i'm not gonna lie, it was kind of exciting. I felt like I should have been punished or something, but hey, it's a fair activity and I was soaking it all in ... taking in a good old fashioned NEPA fair for all it's worth.
... I'm off tomorrow! I'm going home to RI for the weekend! Wooo! I'm so excited because I don't get to go home often and it's my "nephews" FIRST BIRTHDAY! He's my cousins baby, but since I'm an only child, i'm AUNTIE AMANDA! Yay! I got him the CUTEST little PUMA track jacket and matching pants ... can't wait to see him wear it!!! Ahh, am I already that aunt that buys the poor kid CLOTHES for his birthday? I should probably get a toy too, huh?
PATRIOTS opening DAY Sunday too! It's a good weekend to be in New England! Let's hope the weather is nice to me and I get to spend a day at the beach too!!! Have a great weekend! The countdown to 3 Doors Down BEGINS! |
